About Us

BrownHill Stable located on a beautiful wooded property in Eastern Lancaster Co., is home to 18-20 horses and an amazing riding program. We purchased our land and started building BrownHill in 2000.  We have continued to grow over the years and now host boarding, lessons, summer pony camps, lessons for riders with disabilities, clinics, on-site shows for our students, show team attending local shows, Pony Tails Club, one day holiday camps, work to ride program, educational programs for homeschool groups, scout groups and school groups as well as birthday parties on site.

We offer lessons six days a week with hours during the day and in the evenings, year around. We teach english, huntseat riding using Centered Riding basics. Correct basic dressage is the foundation of all riding skills taught at BrownHill Stable.

Our goal at BrownHill Stable is to introduce children and adults of all abilities to horses and riding in a safe, fun and economical way. We aim to produce well rounded horsemen & women who are able to communicate with horses in a way that is beneficial to both horse and rider. In addition to mounted skills, all BrownHill Stable riders will learn how to properly and safely handle a horse from the ground, how to groom and care for the horse and how to properly tack and untack.

Our instructors are committed to continuing education and continue to ride and take riding lessons on their own horses.
